About Us


The James City County Police Department provides police services in all areas of the County including animal control, patrol, investigations and traffic enforcement.

The Department also offers a wide array of crime prevention services, community outreach programs and citizen classes. We invite you to explore our website to find out more.

The Department has more than 97 sworn law enforcement officers (including auxiliary and on-call officers) and responds to approximately 22,000 calls for service each year.
