Transitional Services

Colonial Community Corrections Transitional Services (CCCTS) provides transitional services, also known as Pre-Release and Post-Incarceration (PAPIS) services, to adults prior to their release from incarceration in the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail (VPRJ). Upon release from incarceration, CCCTS will coordinate services for inmates transitioning into the local communities. Transitional services include:
  • Emergency housing
  • Job placement referrals
  • Job readiness training in cooperation with VPRJ
  • Mentoring through Williamsburg walk the Talk program (WWTT)
  • Pre-Release planning
  • Referrals for emergency food and clothing
  • Transportation Assistance through Williamsburg Transit and WWTT
