James City County offers year round sports classes, clinics, leagues and events for youth and adults. Sport classes and clinics cater to development and foundational skills and tournaments and leagues allow for competition and friendly play. Check out the complete list of year-round programs! Please contact us if you have questions or are interested in partnering to offer a camp, class or clinic. Registration closes 1 week before program start date.
Jump Shots (ages 6-8)
Get ready for team play in this introduction to basketball. Get oriented to the court and hone basic fundamentals including passing, dribbling and shooting!
Multi-Sport Minis (ages 3-5)
Looking for variety for your child? From shooting a basketball to kicking a soccer ball to throwing a baseball, come have fun in the most assorted class of all.
Tot Shots (ages 3-5)
Time to lace up your basketball shoes and meet us on the court to learn how to dribble, shoot, pass and play some basketball!
Sandlot Tots (ages 4-6)
Hitting, fielding, base running and throws! Come slide in the dirt and learn the game of T-ball.
Pint Sized Soccer Series
Quart’r Pint Soccer (ages 2-3 with parent)
This “parent-play” class engages toddlers and helps to develop balance, movement and soccer skills as well as helping parents provide a positive sports environment.
Half (ages 4-5) & Full Pint (ages 6-9) Soccer
Technical skills such as dribbling, passing, positioning and more will be taught in this fun 2-tiered introduction to soccer.
Celebrate the longest day of the year by joining Parks & Recreation for the Longest Day of Play! On June 21, we cater to the sun and offer recreational activities all day long including extended hours, sport activities, fitness classes, scavenger hunts, and basketball competitions as well as other outdoor programming. The day kicks off at 5:47 a.m. and culminates with a variety of activities including the Jamestown Jams concert series featuring the band The Originals (acoustic singer-songwriter showcase), a sunset paddle and owl prowl. All Project 547 activities are free, no registration required. If inclement weather is in the forecast, please call the Activities Hotline at 757-259-3232.
The make up date has been scheduled for Friday, July 6 at 5 p.m. Head out to the Skate Park to compete for various prizes, music, food truck, outdoor movie screen with skate film after dark, and more! Both skate and BMX competitions will take place on Friday. You must pay the $10 registration fee to get into the Skate Park.
Park to Park 20th Anniversary
Register for this annual self-guided bicycle tour! Choose from a family ride (ride as little or as much as you’d like), or ride 15 miles, 30 miles or the Half Century ride (50 miles)! The Half Century ride includes visits to a variety of County parks. Cool off after your ride in the Chickahominy Riverfront Park pool. Fee includes refreshments, pool admittance, maps, support vehicles to help out tired riders and lunch! Preregistration forms available May 1-June 30 at local bike shops, the Centers, Freedom Park Interpretive Center or Satellite Services in Toano. Offered in partnership with Williamsburg Area Bicyclists.

Want to learn skills from former professional football players—join us for this hands-on/no pads camp to learn tackling, blocking, passing and other skills to be successful. Former WJCC athletes and local high school coaches will get you ready for tryouts! Lunch included. (Boys ages 8-13).
The Joe Henzel Baseball Camp
Fielding, hitting, base running and communication are taught in this week of playing the nation’s favorite pastime!
JCC & Virginia Legacy Recreational Soccer Camp
Revolving around soccer-related games, activities, trainings and competitions, this camp includes instruction on the fundamentals of soccer and is designed to meet the needs of beginner, developmental, recreational and advanced soccer players. All participants receive a Legacy Camp shirt and free soccer ball! Held at the James City County Recreation Center, participants are indoors and outdoors. Full-day camps include use of the Recreation Center pool!
WJCC/CAA Basketball Camp
Essential basketball skill building with intense daily instruction and specified group and individual attention.
WJCC/CAA Track & Field Camp
On your mark. Get set. Go! Race through this 2-day camp designed to teach the fundamentals of track and field. Also learn how running can lead to college!
Kiskiack Junior Golf Camp
Fore! The basic fundamentals of golf are covered in this games based approach to stance, swing, etiquette, sportsmanship, rules and competitive situations. Kiskiack shirt, ball, range voucher and a bag tag included!
Join us for a sampler pack of sports! Over 12 different team and individual sport options for your child to try out including basketball, baseball, football and more! Camp also features travel to local sports facilities.
Get Set with Williamsburg Volleyball Club
This coed camp is going to get you bumping and digging! The WVC staff will get you oriented to the court, working on your passing and introducing you to fundamental skills essential for a successful game.

Sunday evening league for adults at the Warhill Sports Complex. Each team plays an 8-week regular season and the season culminates in a championship playoff match. Register under a captain’s household. Captain’s meeting scheduled for Aug. 29, 6 p.m. at the James City County Recreation Center. (Women ages 18+ and men ages 30+)
