About the Department
The Fire Department provides fire protection, prevention, emergency medical, emergency dispatch (911) and emergency disaster protective services. The combination career and volunteer department provides full fire protection and emergency medical care service from five strategically located fire stations.

We have mutual aid agreements to work in partnership with surrounding jurisdictions such as the City of Williamsburg, York County, New Kent County and Charles City County to ensure that all citizens receive assistance from the closest, most appropriate resources.
