For leaf disposal outside of the free drop-off or curbside collection dates, leaves may be self-hauled by using coupons available at the Treasurer’s Office, Satellite Services Office, Freedom Park, the James City County Recreation Center the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center or online. One coupon per four lawn and leaf-sized bags is required. Brush and tree limbs are not included in the free collection and will require coupons.

    The James City County Police Department is offering a free firearm safety class to the residents. Each one session class will cover basic safety, handling, storage and basic laws related to carrying a concealed handgun in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The class does not include hands-on training, and personal firearms should be left at home in a secure location. This course meets the requirement for the “Documentation of Proof of Handgun Competency” as part of the VA Concealed Handgun Permit application process, and a certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees.     The James City County Police Department is offering a free firearm safety class to the residents. Each one session class will cover basic safety, handling, storage and basic laws related to carrying a concealed handgun in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The class does not include hands-on training, and personal firearms should be left at home in a secure location. This course meets the requirement for the “Documentation of Proof of Handgun Competency” as part of the VA Concealed Handgun Permit application process, and a certificate of attendance will be provided to attendees. Pre-registration is required and will done using the link below.
