Skrimp Shack

James City County (JCC) is pleased to announce that Skrimp Shack held a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Oct. 27 for their new location, 6658 Richmond Road in The Gallery Shops at Lightfoot. Skrimp Shack offers fish dinners, fish and chicken sandwiches, kid’s meals and a variety of sides. The new restaurant is 3,000 square feet and will seat approximately 80 patrons.

Skrimp Shack boasts the “best fish samwich in town” with numerous options of fish including whiting, catfish, flounder, tilapia, haddock or mahi mahi. Other menu items include po’boys, fish tacos and shrimp tacos. There are also family-sized options and baskets.

“We are excited to open our new location on Richmond Road and share our love of seafood with the Greater Williamsburg area. We can’t wait to feed locals and tourists visiting the area,” said Bryan Leybold, owner of the restaurant in JCC. Leybold also owns a Skrimp Shack in lower York County.

Skrimp Shack was founded by Stacey and Mitch Hartman in 2010. In addition to the JCC and York County locations, there are six other Skrimp Shack locations including two in Newport News, one in Hampton, one in Portsmouth, one in Norfolk and one in Mechanicsville. Two locations in Richmond and a location in Winchester are opening in the future.
