A. Case No. SUP-31-99. Hankins Industrial Park Water/Sewer Main, Lift Station 6-8, and Well Facility W-1, No. 3
Mr. Larry Foster, General Manager of the James City Service Authority, has applied for a special use permit to allow the construction of a new Lift Station 6-8, approximately 7,600 linear feet of 12-inch force main, approximately 1,900 linear feet of six-inch water main, approximately 1,475 linear feet of 16-inch water main, a new Well Facility (W-1 No. 3), and modifications to the existing Owens-Illinois Well Facility (W-1). The sewer main would be routed through the Hankins Industrial Park to the VDOT right of way along the eastern side of Richmond Road and connect the new Lift Station on Depot Street to the HRSD Force Main at Anderson’s Corner. The 16-inch water main would be routed from the end of Depot Street through the Hankins Industrial Park to the existing Well Facility W-1. The six-inch water main will be routed from the existing Well Facility (W-1) along the south side of Industrial Boulevard to the proposed Well Facility (W-1 No.3) at the end of Industrial Boulevard. The area is designated as Mixed Use, Low Density Residential and General Industry on the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map. (Attachment)
B. Case No. Z-2-00/SUP-3-00. Greensprings Grocery
Mr. Steven E. Cryder and Mrs. Cathelyn G. Cryder have applied to rezone 1.67 acres from LB, Limited Business to B-1, General Business, with proffers, and for a special use permit to allow the sale of gasoline at an existing convenience store. The proposal would replace the existing underground fuel tanks; replace an existing gas fueling station that accommodates the fueling of two vehicles simultaneously with two (2) gas fueling stations that permits the fueling of four (4) vehicles simultaneously; and install one (1) diesel fueling station that permits the fueling of two (2) vehicles simultaneously. The proposal would also replace an above-ground kerosene tank with an underground tank and install an overhead canopy. The site is located at 4197 Centerville Road between Brick Bat Road and News Road. The site is designated Low Density Residential on the Comprehensive Plan and is further identified as Parcel (1-1A) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (36-4).
