A. Case No. Z-7-99 / SUP-24-99. Griesenauer Residential Cluster

Mr. Joseph S. Terrell, Sr. has applied on behalf of Mr. Paul Griesenauer to rezone 24 acres from R-8, Rural Residential, to R-2, General Residential, and for a special use permit for a residential cluster with a maximum gross density of more than one unit per acre.  The site is located at 248 Ingram Road, at the north end of Ingram Road and at the end of Powhatan Springs Road.  The site is designated Low-Density Residential on the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map and is further identified as Parcel No. (1-15) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (46-2).  The project proposes a density of 2.71 dwelling units per acre. (Attachment) (Deferred)

 

B. Case No. SUP-8-00 / SUP-9-00. Lee Bickford Borrow Pit

Mr. Vernon Geddy, III, has applied on behalf of Branscome Enterprises and Sanifill of VA, Inc., to amend the conditions of SUP-30-97 and SUP-31-97 to allow for the continued operation of borrow pits located on property adjacent to the Greenmount Tract. The property is zoned M2, General Industrial, and can be further identified as Parcel Nos. (1-3) and (1-2) on the James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (60-3).  (Deferred)

 

C. Case No. SUP-15-00. St. Bede Catholic Church

Mr. Doug White of LandMark Design Group, Inc., has applied on behalf of St. Bede Catholic Church for a special use permit to allow the construction of a house of worship at 3686 Ironbound Road. The applicant has also applied for a height limitation waiver to allow the construction of a cupola and cross on top of the roof that is approximately 73 feet above grade. Structures that exceed 60 feet in height above grade require a height limitation waiver from the Board of Supervisors. The property is zoned R-8, Rural Residential, and designated as Low Density Residential on the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map. The property can be further identified as Parcel No. (1-18) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (38-3).  (Attachment) (Approved)

 

D. Case No. SUP-7-00. Hertzler Clearing and Grading

Mr. Steven L. Hertzler has applied for a special use permit to allow the manufacture and sale of wood products, the storage and repair of heavy equipment, and a contractor's warehouse and office at 9537 Barnes Road.  The property is zoned A-1, General Agricultural and designated Rural Lands on the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map.  The property can be further identified as Parcel No. (1-12A) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (4-3).
