Colonial Community Corrections - Pretrial Services
Pretrial Services performs services in two divisions: investigative and supervisory. The following lists include specific duties of both divisions:
1. Investigative Division
- Interview jail inmates
- Complete necessary Court paperwork
- Verify inmate reported information
- Review criminal histories
- Evaluate compiled information and make recommendation for bond determination
- Provide judges, commonwealth attorneys, and defense attorneys with completed investigations/recommendations
- Process new pretrial referrals
2. Supervision Division
- Review pretrial referrals
- Conduct weekly personal contacts with clients
- Monitor weekly telephone contacts with clients
- Conduct substance abuse testing
- Monitor client compliance with special conditions
- Prepare compliance and/or violation reports for Court
