I was born May 30, 1986 in Terre Haute, Indiana. I was raised in Sullivan, Indiana where I went to school and graduated from Sullivan High School in 2004. After graduation I received a basketball scholarship to play at Lincoln Land Junior College in Springfield, IL from 2004-2006. Once I finished school in Springfield, I moved back to Indiana where I worked on an inpatient unit for a behavioral health hospital from 2006-2011. In the Fall of 2012 I enrolled at Indiana State University where I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Safety Management. I had to do an internship for school that I completed with White Construction. They are a large construction company that are recognized for their energy projects across the country. I worked for them on a wind farm near Indianapolis, IN during the Summer of 2012 as a Safety Intern. I have two great parents along with a brother and four sisters. My two youngest sisters were adopted from Guatemala in 2005 and 2013. I am engaged to my fiancé Erin Mickey and have a date of Sept. 13, 2014, set to get married. I began my career as Williamsburg-James City County Schools Safety Coordinator on July 1, 2013.
