English
K.1 - Participate in choral speaking and recite rhymes.
K.2 – Follow one step and two step directions.
Begin to ask how and why questions.
K.3 – Begin to follow rules for conversation.
Listen and speak in informal conversations.

 

Firefighter with gearKey Terms and Concepts:

  • Get Out, Stay Out!
  • Don’t be afraid of firefighters in gear

Objectives:

The students will-

  • Hear a smoke alarm
  • See and touch a firefighter in gear – one piece of gear at a time
  • Practice crawling under smoke "Stay Low and Go"

The fire educator will coordinate the fire engine (if available) and firefighters, and will bring the following:

  1. Firefighter and gear
  2. Smoke alarm
  3. Reinforcement materials
