Check out what’s new at Freedom Park – History, hiking, mountain biking and more await you at the County’s 600 acre Freedom Park located at the intersection of Longhill and Centerville Roads.
The newest addition to Freedom Park is an Interpretive Center featuring artifacts, an interactive kiosk, an indoor meeting space with a kitchen and patio and an outdoor bike wash station.

Start your resolutions early! – You don’t have to wait until Jan. 1 to get in shape or stay in shape. The County offers over 140 land and water based fitness classes each month.
Professional instructors lead classes in Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Water Cardio and more. Access requires either a combo pass or wristband. Class schedules and fees are posted online and at the James City/Williamsburg Community Center.

What’s that sound? – At approximately 11:10 a.m. on Dec. 14, State and local officials will test the early warning siren system for the Surry Power Station. The quarterly test consists of a steady three-minute tone that is sounded by sirens located in a 10-mile radius of the plant.
