Can’t get to DMV? – DMV is coming to you! On June 11, the Division of Motor Vehicles’(DMV) mobile customer service center will set up shop from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Satellite Services.
The handicapped-accessible full service office-on-wheels is equipped to process all DMV transactions including driver’s license and identification card applications and renewals, written and driving vehicle skills tests, boat titling, transcripts and disabled parking placards and plates. Head out to Family Fun Fest – Make sure you are at Chickahominy Riverfront Park on May 19 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for a fun-filled family day. Touch-a-Truck, get your face painted, run in the Fun Run, bounce on rides, pet animals and stop by the Good for You Zone and see why being healthy can lead to loads of fun. While you are there, be sure to enjoy the live music, stilt walkers and jugglers!

Get ready and save money – Take advantage of Virginia’s Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday May 25-31 and stock up on supplies for protecting homes and businesses during hurricane season.

Take a stand against auto theft - A free Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) etching event will be held May 24 from 1-5 p.m. in the Monticello Marketplace parking lot.
Police Officers etch the Federally-assigned VIN onto the windows using a chemical solution that does not mar the look of the vehicle. The process typically takes 10 minutes per vehicle. For more information, call the Community Services Unit at 757-603-6024.
