Appointment made – Andy Bradshaw, a County native and former Stonehouse representative of the Board of Supervisors, has been appointed to fill the vacant Powhatan seat on the James City County Board of Supervisors. The appointment order was issued Feb. 8 by Circuit Court Judges Richard Y. Atlee Jr., Thomas B. Hoover, R. Bruce Long and Michael E. McGinty.
Bradshaw will serve on the Board until a special election is held for the Powhatan District in November. The appointment was effective immediately and after qualification and swearing in, he joined the Board at the Feb. 12 regular meeting.
