Community Video Center / JCC TV
The Communications Office manages the 24-hour programming of the County's Government Channel - JCC TV, and the Community Channel. Programming consists of the live broadcast of County and City meetings, staff produced programs and multi-media message boards announcing government services and events. The office also supports the Cable Communications Committee which oversees the Cox Communication Franchise.
The Community Video Center opened in July 1996 as a partnership between the County, the City of Williamsburg and Cox Communications to provide citizens with quality government programming.
The 3,500 square-foot facility houses a 1,600 square-foot studio, a control room and a head-end room for live control of the County's two channels and the City's government channel. The Center is staffed by a full-time manager/video services coordinator, a full-time video producer and a full-time video engineer. For more information, call (757) 259-7700.
