Motor Vehicle Accident at Jamestown Road and 4-H Club Road
The James City County Fire Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Jamestown Road and 4-H Club Road at 08:33 a.m. this morning. The accident involved two vehicles in the intersection. This intersection is near the Jamestown Ferry.
There were four injuries at the scene. Two of the injuries were minor in nature, one injury was more moderated, and one injury was possibly life threatening. The patient with the more severe injuries was transported by ground ambulance Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. This patient had possible chest trauma.
Three of the patients were in the same vehicle and were from the Isle of Wight area. They were enroute to a work site in James City County. Three patients had to be extricated form one of the vehicles using the Jaws of Life. The James City County Fire Department responded with a Engine and Ladder Company was well as two ambulances, they were assisted by an ambulance from the Williamsburg Fire Department, and officers from the James City County Police Department. The Virginia State Police is investigating.
