James City County Offices will be closed Friday, September 19. All essential personnel should report.

The James City County Fire Department has suspended all non-critical operations including tree cutting. They are still responding to life threats.

Power outages in the James City County area continue to increase as Hurricane Isabel moves in to the area. There are spotted power outages throughout the County and more areas are expected to be affected as the storm draws closer.

Based on the projected intensity of this storm, residents who remain at home should be prepared to be without power, telephone, water or other utilities for three to seven days. Citizens with questions should call the Emergency Operations Center at (757) 566-4315.
