Neighborhood Improvement Matching Grant Program

The Office of Neighborhood Connections is pleased to announce the opening of the 2004 Neighborhood Matching Grant (NIMG) application process. The purpose of the NIMG program is to enhance the sense of community through the involvement of the neighborhood in the development and accomplishment of a neighborhood project. James City County will award matching grants up to $500 to a neighborhood/homeowner association. The funds can be matched with volunteer hours, in-kind donations of supplies, or money.
Points to remember about the 2004 NIMG application process:
- All applications for 2004 will be due January 30, 2004.
- A panel of past recipients and staff will determine the winners and the amount funded.
- If you have any questions about filling out the application, please contact our office.
- The Grants will be awarded early spring.
Applications are now available from the Neighborhood Connections Office at 5248 Olde Towne Road, Suite 11, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
