James City County Administrator Sandy Wanner has been named Vice President of Conferences, Inc., a corporation created last year to handle the budgeting and legal responsibilities of hosting two national conferences in Virginia.

The NACo conference is planned for July 13-17, 2007, with one of the conference events being held in Jamestown in recognition of its 400th anniversary. In addition to being active in NACo, VACo and ICMA, Wanner serves as Third Vice President of the Virginia Local Government Management Association (VLGMA).
Virginia Association of Counties' (VACo) Executive Director James D. Campbell is President and Treasurer of Conferences, Inc. VACo General Counsel Phyllis Errico serves as Secretary. Henrico County Manager Virgil R. Hazelett, Chesterfield County Administrator Lane B. Ramsey, Hanover County Administrator Richard R. Johnson, and Richmond City Manager Calvin D. Jamison serve as directors of the corporation.
