James City County Parks and Recreation Holds “The Benefits Are Endless” Photo Contest

Williamsburg, VA - (July 19, 2004) To commemorate July as Parks and Recreation Month the James City County Division will be holding "The Benefits Are Endless" photo contest. Residents of James City County and the City of Williamsburg are encouraged to enter photos they've taken that illustrate people enjoying leisure, recreation, or health and fitness activities.
Entries must include one (1) photograph (color or black & white) no larger than 4" x 6" (please include negative if possible) and include on the back of the photo the contestants name, address, and phone number. Entries may be dropped off at the James City/Williamsburg Community Center, or mailed to 5249 C Olde Towne Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. All entries will be accepted until the close of business on July 30, 2004.
Three (3) winners will be chosen for awards by Parks and Recreation staff, based on originality, visual appeal and content in keeping with the contest theme, "The Benefits are Endless."
The first place winner will have their photograph entry published in the Parks and Recreation Activity Brochure and receive a $100 Savings Bond. Second and third place winners will receive a certificate of recognition and all three winning photographs will be displayed at the James City/Williamsburg Community Center and the James River Community Center.
