On Tuesday June 15 units from the James City County Fire Department responded to 2721 Linden Lane in the Rolling Woods Subdivision for a report of a House Fire. Units arrived to find fire coming from the front door of the home. A quick fire attack was made by the responding crews knocking down the main body of the fire in the first few minutes. Fire had extended to the second floor hallway and laundry room as well. A search of the home revealed that no one was at home. The fire was reported at 05:24 a.m. by neighbors that were out walking. The neighbors unsuccessfully attempted to extinguish the fire using a garden hose prior to the Fire Departments arrival. The home is owned and occupied by Dr. and Mrs. Terry Hake. The cause of the fire appeared suspicious and Fire Investigators were called in to conduct an origin and cause investigation. The home received moderate fire damage and heavy smoke and heat damage. There were no injuries sustained.

Several incendiary devices were discovered during the investigation. As a result of the investigation an arrest warrant was obtained for Mrs. Rachel Hake, Age 56 Tuesday evening. Mrs. Hake is wanted on Arson related charges. Mrs. Hake is believed to be driving a late model Silver Mitsubishi Lancer. Virginia License XYU6378.

Later in the day investigators were notified that another home owned by Dr. and Mrs. Hake near Farmville Virginia in Prince Edward County was on fire. That home suffered heavy damage as a result. That incident is under investigation by the Prince Edward County Sheriffs Department and the Virginia State Police.

Anyone with information on this fire or having knowledge of the location of Mrs. Hake is asked to call the James City County Fire Marshals Office at 220-0626.
