JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA - James City County Fire Department responded to an early morning structure fire on Old Mooretown Road on May 26, 2005. The fire severely damaged the rear of the home displacing three adult occupants. Red Cross responded and is providing assistance. The initial 911 call was received at 1:17 a.m.; the first arriving James City County Fire Department unit arrived at 1:23 a.m. The fire was brought under control within twelve minutes of arrival. Units from York County and James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Department responded also. Fire marshals are investigating the fire cause. One firefighter injury was reported—he was treated at the scene after coming in contact with energized electrical wiring.
