JAMES CITY COUNTY, VA -- James City County Fire Department responded to the report of fire in the wall of a townhouse at 1747 Skiffe's Creek Circle. The call was received at 12:47 a.m. on February 1, 2005. James City and York County fire and medic units responded. The first arriving firefighters found light smoke at the second floor ceiling. Further investigation found a small fire in the attic next to a metal fabricated chimney flue. The fire was quickly brought under control. James City County fire marshals investigated and determined blown insulation next to the flue had smoldered; a fire was started in the fireplace earlier in the evening. No injuries were reported. Red Cross responded and assisted the family (two adults, two children) in relocating for the rest of the night. Units left the scene by 2:11 a.m.
