BZA - April 6, 2006 - Public Hearing

 

THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS OF JAMES CITY COUNTY, VIRGINIA WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 2006, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE BOARD ROOM, 101-F MOUNTS BAY ROAD, JAMES CITY COUNTY, VIRGINIA TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING CASES:

 

ZA-03-06.  8409 Camellia Court

Mr. & Mrs. Robert C. Key, property owners, are requesting a variance to Section 24-238(b), Yard Regulations, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a rear deck at 8409 Camellia Court.  The variance requested is to reduce the required rear yard setback from 35 feet to 23.5 feet.  The property is zoned R-1, Limited Residential, and can be further identified as Parcel No. (08-0-0143) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (13-3).

 

ZA-05-06. 6483 Richmond Road

Mr. Ashok Patel of Orsung Enterprise, L.L.C. has applied for a variance to Section 24-416(a), Setback Requirements of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to reduce the side yard setback from the required 28 feet to 3 feet for the construction of a canopy addition to the side entrance of the Hotel Colonial America.  This property is currently zoned M-1, Limited Business/Industrial and can be further identified as Parcel No. (01-0-0062) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (24-3).

 

ZA-06-06. 113 Watford Lane

Mr. Richard Hanson has applied on behalf of the James City County Office of Housing and Community Development for a variance to Sections 24-256, Setback Requirements and 24-258 (b), Yard Regulations of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to reduce the required front setback from 50 feet from the center of the right of way of Watford Lane to 30 feet from the center of the right of way and to reduce the required rear yard setback from 35 feet to 9 feet to permit the construction of a single family dwelling.  This property is currently zoned R-2, General Residential and can be further identified as Parcel No. (01-0-0085) on James City County Real Estate Tax Map No. (39-1).
