New Powhatan District Representative to the Planning Commission Appointed

On January 10, 2006, the James City County Board of Supervisors appointed Anthony J. Obadal as the new Powhatan District Representative to the Planning Commission. Mr. Obadal practiced law in New York and Washington, D.C. for over forty-five years. He is now retired from the law firm of Obadal, Filler, MacLeod and Klein of Alexandria, Virginia. During his career he practiced criminal law, argued Court of Appeals cases throughout the United States on behalf of the National Labor Relations Board, was counsel and manager of Labor Relations for the Chamber of Commerce of the United States and acted as counsel for a number of national business associations. He was Chairman of the Board of Westminster School, Annandale, Virginia, a member of the Advisory Board of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest, a member of the Board of the Transportation Road Information Program and a member of the Board and President of the Thomas More Society of America. He and his wife, Nancy, came to Williamsburg three and a half years ago.
Mr. Obadal's first term on the Planning Commission expires on January 31, 2010.
