Board of Supervisors appoint citizens to Comprehensive Plan Committee
Date: November 14, 2007
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The James City County Board of Supervisors recently appointed seven citizens to the Community Participation Team (CPT) to help lead staff in the review and update of the County's Comprehensive Plan. The appointments were made at the Board’s Nov. 13 meeting.
The CPT is a combination of citizens and Planning Commission members who will assist with County efforts to collect and report citizen input on the future of the County. The team will meet weekly to plan and implement ways to encourage citizen feedback during the 2008 update process.
Citizen members of the CPT are Vaughn Poller, William Spaller, Susan Sullivan-Tubach, Charlotte Hubbard Jones, Robert Keith, Glendora James and Thomas Fitzpatrick.
Reviewed every five years, the Comprehensive Plan is the community’s long-range plan for the future provision of services and direction of growth and development. As the update process continues over the next year, the CPT will provide County citizens with many opportunities to participate in the process, including internet submissions, community meetings and JCC TV48 programs.
The Community Participation Team will hold its first meeting Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. at the County Government Complex, 101 Mounts Bay Road, Building A.
