BZA News Release June 7, 2007

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 

THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS OF JAMES CITY COUNTY, VIRGINIA WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON THURSDAY, JUNE  7, 2007, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE BOARD ROOM, 101-F MOUNTS BAY ROAD, JAMES CITY COUNTY, VIRGINIA TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING CASES:

ZA-05-07        7701 Church Lane

 

Mr. Ron Minick is requesting a variance to Section 24-215 (a), Setback Requirements, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a new single family dwelling at 7701 Church Lane.  The variance requested is to reduce the required setback from Church Lane from seventy-five (75’) feet to fifty-five (55’) feet from the centerline of Church Lane.  The property is zoned A-1, General Agricultural Zoning District, and can be further identified as James City County Real Estate Tax Map (12-3-01-0-0037).

 

ZA-06-07       321 Racefield Drive

 

Mr. Mark Laney is requesting a variance to Section 24-216(a), Minimum Lot Width and Frontage, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a new single family dwelling at 321 Racefield Drive.  The variance requested is to reduce the required minimum lot width from two hundred and fifty feet (250’) to one hundred fifty two feet (152’).   The property is currently zoned A-1, General Agricultural Zoning District, and can be further identified as James City County Tax Map (03-3-02-0-0004).

 

ZA-07-07       6153 Centerville Road

 

Mr. Paul White is requesting variances to Section 24-217(a), Yard regulations, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance for the construction of a single-family dwelling at 6153 Centerville Road.  The variances requested are to reduce the left and right side yards from 15 feet to 8.5 feet.  The property is zoned A-1, General Agricultural Zoning District, and can be further identified as James City County Tax Map (31-1-01-0-0013).

 

ZA-08-07       Autumn West Village

 

Ms. Joyce Wolfe representing Autumn West Investments, LLC has requested a variance to Section 24-311(a), Yard regulations, of the James City County Zoning Ordinance to reduce the perimeter buffer from 35 feet to 10 feet on the North and North-East property lines for the construction of a townhouse development.  The property is zoned R-2, General Residential Zoning District, and can be further identified as James City County Tax Map (32-1-01-0-0001).
