County’s Economic Development Authority Elects Officers

Mark G. Rinaldi, AICP was elected as the 2007 chairman of the James City County Economic Development Authority (EDA). Thomas G. Tingle, AIA is the new vice chairman. Both assumed their new roles at the EDA’s January meeting.
Rinaldi is now in his third term on the EDA, having served as a Director since 2000 and having worked during his tenure to advance the EDA’s mission of sustaining and expanding the County’s commercial and industrial tax base to help maintain and enhance the quality of life for County citizens. Rinaldi is employed as the Director of Planning and Development for P.F. Summers Development, LLC, a member of the P.F. Summers family of companies that includes the award-winning P.F. Summers of Virginia home building company.
Tingle began his first term in May 2005, and is also the EDA liaison to the County’s Business Climate Task Force formed in 2006. Tingle is President of Guernsey Tingle Architects. He currently serves as President of Virginians for High Speed Rail, and as a Director for Chesapeake Bank, and is also a past president of the Williamsburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and former treasurer and chair of the Chamber’s Business Development Division.
The James City County EDA is a seven-member voluntary Board whose members are appointed by the County Board of Supervisors and serve staggered four-year terms. The Authority's mission is to assist the County and its Office of Economic Development in expanding James City County's business tax and job bases.
