On Thursday, August 21, Abeo Corporation graduated from the James City County Technology Incubator (JCCTI) during a Critical Mass Happy Hour sponsored by the Hampton Roads Technology at Firkin & Frigate in City Center at Oyster Point. Abeo Corporation opened their satellite office at the JCCTI as an extension of their corporate office located in Herndon, VA.
Abeo Corporation, a service-disabled veteran owned business, was formed in 1997 to provide engineering and systems integration services to the United States Navy and has since become a systems integrator and consultancy specializing in wireless technologies. Their creed is to build relationships based on business value and kept commitments, while their vision is to be their customers’ technology partner dedicated to total success. Past customers and clients of Abeo Corporation include IBM, Accenture, JP Morgan Chase, Bearing Point, Days Inn, Christopher Newport University, and many others.
A client graduates from a technology incubator when the business has reached a stage, where the product or service is commercially viable, with a steady revenue stream to sustain the business without any subsidies.
The James City County Technology Incubator, part of the Hampton Roads Technology Incubator System, has been open for two years, helps mentor entrepreneurs, and sets up networking connections with key business leaders. JCCTI is located at 5300 Palmer Lane Suite 2A, Williamsburg VA 23188. For more information about the services of JCCTI or the space available at the incubator, please call (757) 645-2447.
