The second round of Community Conversations for the James City County Comprehensive Plan begins August 13. At these meetings, County experts will present on the eight hot topics heard from you and your neighbors during Round One and attendees will have the opportunity to fill out a related questionnaire.
To help attendees prepare, the questionnaires are available online at http://www.jccegov.com/citizens/fillsurvey.php?sid=41. If you are unable to attend any second round meetings, we still want to hear from you so complete the questionnaire online.
Citizen participation will have a direct effect on the actions the County undertakes and the goals that are set for OUR future.
For more information, call the hotline at 259-4990, or write to Historic Past, Sustainable Future/JCC Planning; P.O. Box 8784; Williamsburg, VA 23187. Overviews of the hot topics are available at www.jccplans.org.
The Comprehensive Plan, the County’s master plan for guiding future growth, is reviewed every five years and is used to evaluate development proposals and guide the decisions of County departments. It covers all aspects of the community, including economic development, population growth, public facilities, parks and recreation, and transportation.
