If so, come participate in a Community Participation Team (CPT) Forum. The CPT, tasked with collecting citizen input for the James City County Comprehensive Plan update, has opened this new opportunity to encourage more organizations to have their voices heard.

CPT Forums will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the following Thursdays:

July 10 and 17 Building C, County Government Complex 101 Mounts Bay Road
July 24 and 31 Williamsburg Regional Library 515 Scotland Street

Each organization will be allowed up to 15 minutes to present their information to the CPT. As always, the public is invited to attend. Time openings are limited and will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis so fill out the reservation form on to reserve your spot today.

If you have information to provide, but are unable to attend one of the scheduled Forums, we still want your input. Letters can be mailed or faxed to the Planning Division.

A second round of Community Conversations is scheduled for August and September. At these meetings, the hot topic items brought up in the first round and the CPT Forums will be discussed in more detail. We look forward to seeing you then!

To learn more about the Comprehensive Plan process visit Keep your eyes on the website, JCC TV48, and FYI to learn about more ways you can be involved in the update. We encourage everyone to get involved in this important process to plan the future of our County and look forward to hearing from you!

The Comprehensive Plan is the County’s master plan for guiding future growth. Reviewed every 5 years, it is used to evaluate development proposals and guide the decisions of County departments. It covers all aspects of the community, including economic development, population growth, public facilities, parks and recreation, and transportation.
