Beginning October 1, calls from James City County recycling customers will be forwarded to the Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority (VPPSA) Office at 259-9850.  The current recycling information line, 565-4000, will no longer be used and callers will automatically be directed to VPPSA for information on the County's recycling programs.

James City County's weekly curbside recycling program currently serves more than 21,000 homes.  To determine if curbside recycling is available in your area, call VPPSA at 259-9850 or e-mail curbsiderecycling@vppsa.org.

VPPSA is a regional governmental organization providing solid waste management services to ten cities and counties in southeast Virginia.  It was established under the Virginia Water and Waste Authorities Act in 1989.
