Due to the cancellation of the March 2nd Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee meeting, the topics for future March meetings have been adjusted as follows:
- Monday, March 9 4 p.m. - Public Facilities and Economic Development
- Transportation/Land Use Application modeling will be rescheduled for a future meeting.
- All other March meeting topics will remain unchanged.
Meetings are held at the County Government Complex, 101 Mounts Bay Road, in the Building F Board Room. Meetings will be televised live on JCC TV48 and available on-demand on www.jccegov.com/news/video/video-archive.html.
Please note that meeting topics are subject to change. Visit www.jccplans.org/steering/ for meeting materials and the most up-to-date schedule.
The Steering Committee’s task is to blend citizen comments collected by the Community Participation Team (CPT) with staff’s research to develop policies and create the actual Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan is the County’s master plan for guiding future growth. Reviewed every five years, it is used to evaluate development proposals and guide the decisions of County departments. It covers all aspects of the community, including economic development, population growth, public facilities, parks and recreation, and transportation.
