March 2nd Steering Committee meeting cancelled

The March 2nd Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee meeting has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The topics scheduled for today’s meeting (Public Facilities and Economic Development) will be discussed on March 9. That meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the County Government Complex, 101 Mounts Bay Road, in the Building F Board Room. The meeting will be televised live on JCC TV48 and available on-demand on www.jccegov.com/jcctv48.

The Steering Committee’s task is to blend citizen comments collected by the Community Participation Team (CPT) with staff’s research to develop policies and create the actual Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan is the County’s master plan for guiding future growth. Reviewed every five years, it is used to evaluate development proposals and guide the decisions of County departments. It covers all aspects of the community, including economic development, population growth, public facilities, parks and recreation, and transportation.
