Citizens are encouraged to attend and public comment periods are available at the beginning and ending of each meeting.  Individuals are asked to keep comments to three minutes or less.  Individuals representing groups are asked to keep comments to five minutes or less.  With prior coordination with the Committee Chair, groups may make presentations limited to ten minutes.

Meetings will be televised live on JCC TV48 and rebroadcast Wednesdays on Community Channel 46 at 8 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8 p.m. or on-demand on www.jccegov.com/jcctv48.

The Steering Committee’s task is to blend citizen comments collected by the Community Participation Team (CPT) with staff’s research to develop policies and create the actual Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan is the County’s master plan for guiding future growth.  Reviewed every five years, it is used to evaluate development proposals and guide the decisions of County departments.  It covers all aspects of the community, including economic development, population growth, public facilities, parks and recreation, and transportation.
