Contact: Frances C. Geissler, Stormwater Director

Phone: (757) 259-1460

James City County will conduct field studies of environmental conditions within the Mill Creek watershed December 1 through March 1, 2010. The County has hired Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., (VHB) to perform the study. The Mill Creek watershed is located west of Lake Powell and Treasure Island Roads, east of Ironbound Road, south of Route 199, and north of the James River adjacent to Jamestown Island. To complete this project, County staff and VHB personnel may need to enter private yards adjacent to streams. Citizens may contact the Stormwater Division at (757) 259-1447 or if they wish to have their property removed from the study.

Information on the County’s watershed planning efforts and a map of the study area are available at or in the James City County Stormwater Division office at 287 McLaws Circle, Suite 1.
