Regular maintenance work along the Greenprings Interpretive Trail will temporarily close the trail bridge on Saturday, October 30, beginning at 7 a.m., weather permitting.

The bridge will reopen on Sunday.  The closure is needed to complete repair work and replace deteriorating decking and rails on the long bridge of the Main Loop that crosses the Beaver Pond and wetlands that intersect with the Virginia Capital Trail. The cleanup is a partnership between the County and The Home Depot, who is supplying labor and materials. The Greensprings Interpretive Trail is located at 3751 John Tyler Highway.
