Public Hearing Notice for Planning Commission - December 1, 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 

The Planning Commission of James City County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. in the County Government Center Board Room, 101-F Mounts Bay Road, James City County, Virginia, to consider the following:

 

AFD-2-86-3-2010.  Croaker AFD Addition, 4474 Ware Creek Road:   Mr. M. Anderson Bradshaw has applied to add 7 acres to the existing Croaker Agricultural and Forestal District (AFD-2-86).  The property is located at 4474 Ware Creek Road and can be further identified as JCC Tax Map No. 1410100007.  The parcel is zoned A-1, General Agriculture and is designated Low Density Residential in the Comp Plan.

 

SUP-0027-2010, Jamestown H.S. Auxiliary Gym:  An application for a Special Use Permit to bring the school into conformance with the Zoning Ordinance and to allow an approximately 6,500 sf gymnasium located at 3751 John Tyler Hwy.  The property is zoned PL, Public Land, identified as JCC Tax Map No. 4610100002D, and designated Federal, State, and County land on the Comp Plan.  Recommended uses for Federal, State, and County Land include publicly owned County offices or facilities, larger utility sites, and military installations.


SUP-0025-2010, Colonial Towne Plaza Flea Market: An application for a Special Use Permit to allow the operation of a flea market on Saturdays and Sundays on a portion of a parcel located at 6925 Richmond Road.  The property is zoned B-1, General Business, identified as JCC Tax Map No. 2430100003, and designated Community Commercial on the Comp Plan.  Recommended uses include community-scaled commercial, professional, and office uses.


SUP-0026-2010, Tractor Supply Company, Norge Center:  An application for a Special Use Permit to allow the construction of a retail farm supply store of approximately 19,000 sf on a parcel located at 7508 Richmond Road.  The property is zoned B-1, General Business, with proffers, identified as JCC Tax Map No. 2320100071, and designated Community Commercial on the Comp Plan.   Recommended uses include community-scaled commercial, professional and office uses.
