Phone: (757) 253-6806

On July 20, 2010, the County Administrator declared Stage I drought conditions for James City County as required by County Code.  The James City Service Authority (JCSA) is monitoring water demands daily.  While JCSA water demands have reduced in recent days as a result of customer efforts and more mild weather conditions, demands have not reduced adequately to lift Stage I voluntary water conservation conditions.  In order to reduce demands on the JCSA water system, customers are encouraged to continue to conserve water and limit outdoor water use.  The JCSA expresses its appreciation to its customers for their cooperation in continuing voluntary water conservation measures in order to reduce water demands.  Again, please note that this declaration does not apply to private wells or residents in Kingsmill and Grove who are provided water service by Newport News Waterworks.

Updates will be available at, on JCC TV and on the County’s Facebook and Twitter sites.
