James City County Officials Urge Caution on County Roadways

Current weather conditions are causing slick roads and low visibility for drivers. County emergency officials are urging residents to stay off the roads if possible and monitor local weather reports.

 

Numerous accidents have been reported in the County. If you must go out, use extreme caution and take a cell phone with you should you need it in an emergency.

 

Residents are advised to stay tuned to local media for the latest weather updates. County closings and weather-related information will be posted on the County web site,www.jccegov.com; JCC TV48, Facebook and the County’s emergency hotline, (757) 875-2424. 

 

County residents should sign up their email, cell phones and pagers to receive local emergency alert information at www.jccalert.org. By registering, one can receive information during emergency conditions. Text messaging charges may apply.
