After a software upgrade and the addition of new features, James City County’s e-mail subscription service e-Subscribe is back online. e-Subscribe can be found on the County’s website www.jccEgov.com/subscribe.
Subscribers can choose to receive e-mails on a wide-assortment of County topics including: a weekly County News update, employment opportunities, Parks and Recreation classes and events, Board of Supervisors information, a daily update from Code Compliance and more.
In order to confirm identity and prevent third-party subscriptions, a confirmation message is sent to the e-mail address provided. The subscriber clicks on a link in the message to finish the quick registration process. Some users may find they need to add James City County to their address book to prevent blocked e-mails. Subscribers can unsubscribe by clicking on a link that is included in every e-mail.
James City County does not provide subscribers’ e-mail addresses or identifiable data except if required to do so by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or other law. Subscribers who wish to be exempt from FOIA disclosure can send an e-mail to the County’s Webmaster, firstname.lastname@example.org, with “Do not disclose my e-mail address” in the subject line.
