As part of their work towards the “Ms. President” Patch, Daisy Troop 1104 led the Pledge of Allegiance at the May 24 James City County Board of Supervisors meeting. The patch was created in 2002 by Girl Scouts of the USA and The White House Project to encourage civic engagement in young girls. The troop presented the Board with a letter expressing their appreciation for the pools and parks in James City County, while also suggesting an initiative to plant more trees and flowers in public areas.
