Location change for the JCSA community meeting to review Hampton Roads Regional Water Supply Plan
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Larry M. Foster, JCSA General Manager
The location for the James City Service Authority (JCSA) community meeting to review the Hampton Roads Regional Water Supply Plan has changed. The meeting will be held in Building C at the James City County Government Center at 101 Mounts Bay Road, on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 starting at 5 p.m.
The Hampton Roads Regional Water Supply Plan was prepared by the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) on behalf of the local governing bodies it serves. The Plan is in response to a requirement by the Commonwealth that all local governments in Virginia prepare and submit a water supply plan to the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). The legislation that requires the Plan also establishes the planning process and criteria that local governments must use in the development of local or regional water supply plans. The community meeting will focus on the Peninsula portion of the plan, more specifically the projected water needs of James City County.
A paper copy of the Hampton Roads Regional Water Supply Plan is available for viewing at the James City County Government Center in Building E.
