New voter district and polling place information available online

July 19, 2011

Alan J. “AJ” Cole, General Registrar

James City County voters may now verify their current voter information online. Visit and click on the “Where Do I Vote” link. Select James City County from the locality drop down box and provide the required information to retrieve personal voter record information.

In addition to verifying an address, voters may view district assignments and use a link that provides directions from a home address to a polling place.

If a registration is not found, County voters can access contact information for the General Registrar’s office to get further information and assistance.

It is important that local voters check their voter registration information. Voters affected by redistricting that are eligible to vote in the August 23, 2011 Republican Party Primary Election for State Senate District 3 will be sent new voter ID cards to their current residence address during the first week of August. All other voters affected by redistricting will receive new voter ID cards later this year.

Anyone without access to the internet or who cannot verify their information online, please call the James City County General Registrar’s office at 757-253-6868.
