Irene victims can visit SBA loan centers before they close tomorrow
Assistance still available by phone and online
Richmond, Va. – The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Petersburg and New Kent County that are serving residents and businesses affected by Hurricane Irene will close at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. The centers are located at:

Homeowners, renters and business owners from Colonial Heights, Petersburg and the counties of New Kent, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Hanover, Henrico, James City, King and Queen, King William and Prince George can apply in person for low-interest disaster loans from SBA through tomorrow. After the centers close, people still can get information about and apply for SBA loans by:

Loan applications can be downloaded from the SBA website at www.sba.gov.
Loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners and renters are eligible for loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property. Businesses and non-profit organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, equipment and other business assets.
The deadline to file an application for property damage is Nov. 21, 2011. The deadline to file economic injury applications is June 21, 2012.
