Come celebrate National Trails Day while supporting the Heritage Humane Society! Bring your best furry friend out for Tails on the Trail on Saturday, June 4 at Greensprings Trail. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the event begins at 9 a.m. There is a $15/dog/family fee and proceeds benefit the Heritage Humane Society.

The Society serves as a compassionate haven for stray or unwanted companion animals, educates the public about humane care and treatment, advocates animal welfare, and promotes adoption to reduce overpopulation and pet homelessness. Pets in the shelter receive nutrition, medical attention, socialization, ongoing human interaction and an abundance of love!

In partnership with James City County, the event includes a Society walk, water stations, local pet friendly vendors and a treat bag at the conclusion of the walk. Registration fees accepted onsite and the first 50 dogs registered receive a free bandana! Meet on the trail head in the parking lot of Jamestown High School. For more information, visit or call 757-259-5353.
