Veteran Investigator Named James City County Police Officer of the Year

On May 25, 2011, Investigator Bill Gibbs was named James City County Police Department’s Officer of the Year for 2010. Investigator Gibbs has been employed with the department since 1984. The award for Officer of the Year is given to a sworn member of the police department who distinguishes himself or herself by performing their duties in a manner which is above that normally expected or required and sufficient to distinguish the individual from those performing comparable duties.
