Arson arrest made for structure fire at 9180 Richmond Rd. in James City County
The Fire Marshal’s Office of the James City County Fire Department has arrested the single occupant of the residence at 9180 Richmond Rd. (originally reported as 9180 Barnes Rd.) for an arson fire which occurred in that structure on Nov. 29. Encela Pardo, age 38, confessed to Fire Marshals that she started the fire in a small bedroom, used for storage, and left the structure. She returned to the residence after fire department units had extinguished the fire.
First arriving units on scene reported a single story residential structure with smoke and flames showing and extending into the attic and roof of the house. One firefighter sustained a minor foot injury but has now returned to work.
The Fire Marshal’s Office obtained a confession from Ms. Pardo and arrested her Dec. 5. She is being held without bond at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
