Applications being sought for Jamestown seat
The James City County Board of Supervisors is seeking applications for the Jamestown District seat with the intent to fill the vacancy by the end of January. The appointee will serve until the voters fill the vacancy in the November 2012 election.
Qualified voters in the Jamestown District are eligible to apply and must submit an application no later than January 17. A job description and application can be found on the County website at www.jamescitycountyva.gov/bos .
Residents may also nominate eligible Jamestown District citizens by January 13 through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by letter sent to:

Once applications are received, the Board will review and choose final applications for consideration. Interviews will take place during an open Board meeting. During last November’s election, John McGlennon was elected to represent the Roberts District which leaves the Jamestown Board member seat vacant. McGlennon represented the Jamestown District until County-wide voter/election redistricting moved him in to the Roberts District.
