James City County Police seek help identifying robbery suspect
Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect who robbed the Shell Station located at 1301 Jamestown Rd. on Oct. 27 at 5:42 p.m.
The male suspect entered the business armed with a handgun and threatened the store clerk. He then went behind the counter to the register. The clerk ran out the door. The suspect chased him to the door and stopped. He then went back inside and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. He then ran from the store to the Colony Square Shopping Center behind the business where he was picked up by a black sedan vehicle believed to be occupied by two black females. The clerk was not injured.
The suspect is described to be a light skinned black or Hispanic male approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. The suspect was wearing a long sleeve black shirt, tan pants with possibly knee pads under them, and black and white tennis shoes. He was wearing panty hose over his face and was armed with a handgun. Although the suspect is attempting to conceal his face, police feel that someone will recognize the suspect due to his facial features and clothing.
